Avestisch (früener au: Awestisch) isch di ältisti und am beste öberlifreti Sprooch vo de altiraanische Sprooche. Si isch d Sprooch vom Avesta, em hailige Buech vom Zoroastrismus. S Avestische isch im 5.Jh.v. Chr. uusgstorbe, werd aber bis hüt no as Liturgiisprooch bruucht. Anderi altiranischi Sprooche sind s Altpersische und e paar anderi nu wenig guet bikannti Sprooche, wie Skythisch oder Medisch.
